Automotive Panel Beater

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced automotive Panel Beater to join our busy Ford and MG approved bodyshop in Wool.

Working on all makes of vehicle; the successful candidate will report to the Bodyshop Manager and will be responsible for meeting franchise and company standards in a body shop environment.

Key responsibilities of a WBM Panel Beater

• Repair and replace body components to damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition to manufacturer’s standards.

• Use specialist body repair equipment

• Work skillfully and safely under pressure

• Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification

• Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision

• Be flexible in your approach

• Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.

The ideal candidate should be experienced in the field with a stable work history, and be able to demonstrate a full range of body repairs to a high standard.

The hours are Monday – Friday 8.00a.m – 5.00p.m.

A full clean driving licence is required.

Automotive Paint Sprayer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced automotive Paint sprayer to join our busy Ford and MG approved bodyshop in Wool.

Working on all makes of vehicle; the successful candidate will report to the Bodyshop Manager and will be responsible for meeting franchise and company standards in a bodyshop environment.

Key responsibilities of a WBM Paint sprayer

• Preparing paint spraying equipment.

• Preparing the bodywork of the car.

• Ability to mix paints to the right colour and consistency.

• Applying several coats to the car, including primers, colours and protective finishes.

• Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification

• Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision

• Be flexible in your approach

• Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.

The ideal candidate should be experienced working on a wide range of cars and be able to carry out all duties of paint work, have full and up to date experience in current water based paint systems, be confident using all the necessary tools and materials and have experience working in an Automotive Bodyshop.

The hours are Monday – Friday 8.00a.m – 5.00p.m.

A full clean driving licence is required.

Service Technician Position

The Service Technician will report to the Service Manager and will be responsible for meeting franchise and company standards in a service environment.

Key Responsibilities of Service Technician:

  • To undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times to meet company and franchise standards.
  • Repair, test vehicles and diagnose their faults as and when required by Service Manager and supervisory staff.
  • Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety.
  • Carry out work completely and effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
  • Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements while working on vehicles, including future servicing/repair requirements.

The Ideal Service Technician:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent).
  • MOT Tester.
  • Have at least 2 years experience after qualifying period, of working in a Franchise Dealership (or similar) preferably with Ford.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of their work.
  • Previous Ford training will be highly beneficial.

Our Autopoint centre specialises in the fast fit of tyres ,exhausts ,batteries, Brakes and MOT tests. However we do offer all aspects of motor repairs.

Key Responsibilities of MOT Tester:

  • To undertake MOT and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times to meet company and franchise standards.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety.
  • Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements while working on vehicles, including future servicing/repair requirements
