FEATURES

Spots the vehicles you might miss

Cross Traffic Alert is part of the Blind Spot Information System. When you’re reversing out of a space and have limited visibility of the traffic situation, Cross Traffic Alert can detect oncoming vehicles and sound a warning. The technology illuminates a light in the wing mirror too (left or right depending on the direction of oncoming traffic).

Parking made even easier

Active Park Assist can steer you into parking spaces just 20% longer than your vehicle. Simply push a button and the sensors of this innovative system locate a suitable space as you drive past. Then it automatically steers you in, while all you do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake (following on-screen instructions and audible signals).

An advanced system to help you stay in your lane

A Lane Keeping System uses a forward-looking camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of lane. Lane Keeping Alert then warns you by vibrating the steering wheel and displaying a visual warning. If you’re slow to react or don’t respond, Lane Keeping Aid can provide steering torque assistance to help guide you back into the right lane. The technology is designed for multi-lane roads (like motorways), so will automatically deactivate at speeds below 43mph or can be turned off manually.them.

Get the most out of your engine

A version of the surprisingly powerful 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine will offer sub-100 g/km CO2 emissions: the first non-hybrid, petrol family car in Europe to do so.

Power and efficiency without compromise

The 1.5-litre Ford EcoBoost petrol engine provides low emissions and fuel economy… without compromising power and handling.

High-performing diesel technology

Focus is available with a range of diesel engine and transmission combinations with fantastic fuel economy and low emissions.

Go hands-free with SYNC 3

SYNC 3 is our most advanced version to date. It’s faster and easier to use, with enhanced voice commands and even more functionality. The new interface has larger buttons for improved usability, and the colour Touchscreen now features pinch-and-swipe gestures found on smartphones and tablets for even more intuitive navigation. SYNC 3 also features AppLink, Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto, to display your smartphone’s information on the touchscreen.

Key-free means hassle-free

The Ford KeyFree System lets you lock and unlock your vehicle, without having to take your key out of your pocket or bag. Ideal when you’ve got your hands full.

A wheel that puts everything to hand

A three-spoke steering wheel has been ergonomically designed with the driver in mind. Every button and control is at your fingertips and the position of the wheel improves both the usability and visibility of your car’s instrument panel. For your further comfort, why not take the option of a new heated steering wheel?

An early warning if a tyre is going flat

If any of your tyres starts to lose pressure during your journey, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System warns you immediately if there’s a puncture by lighting up an icon on the instrument panel.

A Euro NCAP Advanced reward, for keeping you safe

Active City Stop, Lane Keeping Aid, Driver Alert and Forward Alert have received a Euro NCAP Advanced reward: the highest given by Europe’s leading independent safety organisation. The rewards recognise only the most advanced avoidance, crash and post-crash technologies available in a car.

To help avoid low speed collisions

The innovative Active City Stop helps the driver avoid a collision in slow-moving traffic or at speeds up to 30mph. It does this by continually measuring the distance to the vehicle in front when it is within a near range. If the system detects the vehicle in front has unexpectedly reduced speed, it automatically applies the brakes.
