Technology with a purpose
Stress-free parking and pulling out
Active Park Assist can steer you into parking spaces. Simply push a button and the sensors of this innovative system locate a suitable space as you drive past. Then it automatically steers you in, while all you do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake (following on-screen instructions and audible signals).
Cruise control that can adapt automatically
With Adaptive Cruise Control technology, you choose the speed you want to drive at and the system will maintain it. If the built-in RADAR sensor detects a vehicle ahead, it will slow your vehicle to maintain a pre-set distance. Once the road in front is clear, the system will accelerate to your chosen speed.
Tackle any terrain
To help you drive with confidence in all conditions and environments, the New Ford Ranger enables you to switch between 4WD and 2WD systems on the fly. So when you’re cruising comfortably on smooth roads, you can keep the vehicle in 2WD. But as soon as you want to go off-road or the road conditions deteriorate, you can effortlessly switch into 4WD.
Use less fuel with Auto Start-Stop
When you stop at traffic lights or your vehicle is idling in a queue, this technology can automatically switch off the engine. When you’re ready to move, just depress the clutch and select first gear as usual, or release the brake on an automatic, and the system restarts. Available in vehicles with an automatic transmission, Auto Start-Stop is particularly effective in town and city streets, where it can cut fuel consumption by up to 10%.

Featuring a range of next generation 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines, the new Ranger is more powerful, more efficient and has lower emissions than ever before. With three powertrains available, offering up to 213 PS of horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, you’re guaranteed to find the one for you.

Go hands-free with SYNC 3
Ford SYNC 3 is a state-of-the-art system that enables you to stay connected and control your phone, music and navigation system with natural voice commands, and even reads out your text messages. You can also use a colour touchscreen with pinch-and-swipe gestures for more intuitive navigation. The technology connects to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto too, and with AppLink, you can access some of your favourite smartphone apps. You can even call up a list of local restaurants just by saying “I’m hungry”.
Lots of handy stowage space
Every cab style has plenty of ingenious storage. The Double Cab, for example, has two large, under‐seat stowage areas in the rear. There are three centre consoles depending on the type of cab. These contain storage bins suitable for food, cup and bottle holders, trays for small items and space for your mobile. The glovebox can hold a 15” laptop, compact umbrella and more.
A system that can help protect pedestrians
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses RADAR and camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it’ll then provide you with a warning. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.
Helping you brake at higher speeds
The Active Braking system is an innovative safety feature that works when you’re traveling at speeds of over 30mph. The technology scans the road ahead and if it detects a collision is likely, will warn you. If you don’t react, the system primes the brakes then starts braking to help slow you down.
Maximum grip with minimum effort
An advanced Traction Control System eliminates excessive wheelspin and gives you the best possible grip, performance and stability, just when you need it most. The system constantly monitors and adjusts the power delivered to the vehicle’s individual wheels ensuring maximum contact and grip when you’re accelerating.
